Mayawati's attack on the second budget of Yogi Sarkar 2.0, said - 'this budget is cumin in the camel's mouth'

The Yogi Adityanath government presented the budget for the financial year 2023-24 today. While CM Yogi, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya termed it as the new budget of new Uttar Pradesh, BSP supremo Mayawati called it a box of promises regarding the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The BSP chief tweeted that the budget presented today in the House by the UP government is less for public interest and public welfare and again a box of promises regarding Lok Sabha election selfishness. Will this unrealistic budget fulfill the interest and welfare of the people here and the claim of becoming India's growth engine? Debt-ridden UP needs an employment-oriented budget, not an illusionary one.

Mayawati said that, keeping in mind its much publicized announcements, promises and claims, the UP BJP government, in its words and deeds, to remove poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, backwardness and anarchy, etc., of about 24 crore people who are suffering from inflation. Why betray the public by difference? 

The BSP chief also said that before making new misleading promises and claims in view of the Lok Sabha general elections, the UP government did not put the honest report card of the previous budget in front of the people. Reality is false propaganda and gimmicks, this budget is cumin in the camel's mouth.

Far from the expected increase in per capita income, employment and government recruitment etc. to make people self-reliant, the increasing burden of debt on them is proof of wrong policies and priorities of the government. The rising debt burden clearly shows that the government, contrary to claims and propaganda, is failing on all fronts.
